Well I have a new LO that I just finished for the Lasting Memories this last challenge was all about trying something new.  Well I know it is ridiculous but somehow despite the growing trend I had never done a page with a banner on it.  I'm not sure why since I have nothing against banners I guess I'm never quite sure how to integrate them into my design so when I saw the sketch over at Pencil Lines I thought I would give it a try.  I kind of like the way it turned out.  I also used the colors from Color Combos Galore this week such a beautiful pallette to work with.  Well here is the finished page...

I like the way this page turned out!  A few design details to share about this page.  The paper is from Pink Paisley the Anthologie collection.  I still have a few more from that collection that I'm hording because the papers are just so much fun to plaue with!  I used Broken China around the edges to reveal the resist is the paper the added some Mist to give the paper a distressed look.  I also water distressed all the edges and added some Tea Dye to the edges and creases.  The metal latice is a peice that I stole out of my dad's garage. Shhh... he doesn't know how much I like to go in there, you never know what you will find!  I added the leaf vine which is from Heartfelt Creations and puched out a few flowers and tada!  The perfect embellishment!  I added the title on the picture but it didn't pop the way I wanted it to so I went around the letters with my white pen to give it that little something extra!

Well I hope you are all having a terrific hump day!  Boy am I glad that this week is half way done and to celebrate this half way point I thought I'de share with you a card that I created once again with the new Decorative Basket Collection.  I LOVE this collection!  There is so much you can do with these stamps and the dies!  OMGosh the dies!!  I think I love them best of all!

I love how well all the collections can be mixed and matched... It brings so much additinal value to the stamps that you may already own.

Well I thought I would do a completly different sort of project since I am taking the most INCREDIBLE online workshop and learning to create these awesome mixed media canvases I thought that I would use my Heartfelt Creation stash in order to create an extra special canvas.  So here is the finished project.

The background is a combination of pattern papers, paints, inks, rub-ons and of course STAMPS and lots of them!    Not sure if you can see them all so here are a few close-ups of this canvas...

The butterflies are cut out from the HCPC 3397 Bella Rose Vintage Background PreCut Set and the flowers are the smallest of the Aztec Gold Sunflower Set. 

In the background hopefully you can see the HCPC 3364 Stained Glass Background PreCut, HCPC 3367 Vintage Life Background PreCut Set and HCPC 2251 Flourish stamps from Elegante Border and Swirl PreCut Set that I used.

Of course I would love to give away all the secrets to creating thes gorgeous canvas but really if you want to create these a good place to start, actually the BEST place to start would be by taking the She Art Workshop for yourself!  You would not be disappointed by all the techniques and projects that Christy will show you.

Party Time

Good morning!  I wanted to share the latest page I created... The other swirly girl challenge happenning at Swirlydoos is a misting, masking and Gesso challenge!  lol!  well that sounds like a fun challenge especially since I LOVE getting nice and dirty... Here is what I came up with...

I started with the large circle (it was a basic ledger type pattern)... I applied gesso randomly with a card, then once that was dry I misted it with Starburt Sprays from Lindy's Stamp Gang in Wisteria Purple Blue and Rhododendron Red Rose.  These colours are so Bright and Fun!  LOVE them!  Here is a video on the technique that I used for the background by Irene Tan... man that woman is AMAZING!!    The layout is based on a sketch at Lasting Memories, they are having a DT call this month and all you have to do to apply is participate in the weekly challenges all month and state that you are applying for the DT position.... This sketch was great , as a twist she wanted us to add buttons... I rarely use them but I added some to the side strip.  I'm also playing along this summer at Scrapbook Star,  They are a fabulous Canadian online store with an amazing community and we are in the middle of our summer Beauty Pageant!  One of the challenges was to use loose glitter... loose glitter specifically so I used some to create my title... here is a close up

And the last close-up of this page is of the flower cluster, I love adding flowers and this is a mix of handmades, the pink and blue flowers where made with my Heartfelt Creations Botanical Floral Stamp set and store bought hydrangia's, some I am roses, and a few stacked flowers.  I also added a broken hair clip because it was too pretty to through out.  Here is a closer look...

The other thing I've been playing with lately well OK this week is learning to make mixed media canvases!  I LOVE the She ART canvases and so I HAD to treat myself the workshop and honestly it is the best... LOVING the workshop it is definatly money well spent.  I just love these little girls!  Here is my first canvas!  I just ADORE it!  I know I'm capping alot of words but OMGosh!  I am so excited about this workshop and everything that I am learning!!!  OK here it is

The only thing I don't like about this one is the head, the paper I used is too thick so you can see the line in the hair... but it was my first one and now I know but I just love how she turned out!  Here is a link to Christy Tomlinson's if want to learn how to put these together.  Well thanks for looking!!

Today I'm sharing these cards with you... I love making cards and these came together so easily thanks, it is simple when  you are working with these awesome products! 

Here is the first one.  I love the way this one came out I think the background stamp is my favorite I can see myself using it over and over again... and those baskets, how can you not LOVE them!!

Here are a few close-ups of this card,  I used my Prisma crayons to do the shading on the flowers  I love that it gives a soft shade without chaging or altering the colours of the copics.

And now here is the second card, for this one I was inspired by a technique challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers, they challenged us to stamp the sentiment over the image and so I tried it and I love the look of this card, hopefully you do to, here it is...

Just because card

Well my poor stamps have been neglected lately so this weekend I decided to pull out my favorite digi stamp and play along with some of my favorite blogger chalenges.  I used a sweet little Wee Stamp... they are just the cutest ever.  I thought while I was at it that I would make use of some swap items.  I was in a cage swap a very long time ago at Scrapbook.com where we had to create photo mats and embellies for each other the idea was that we could use these peices to create a layout but when I pulled them out yesterday, they screamed card and so that is what this page kit from Corrie W became... it is for a little girl page and so it became a little girl card.  Here it is...

Frosted Design is having a challenge that is about colouring this week... I think I'm going to try to come up with a second project for them as well...  They are having a DT call right now, what a great team they have can't wait to see who they will be adding on.
Cuddle Buddy  is hosting there 6th challenge - Add Stitching - I added some faux stitching along the edges of the image.

Make it colourful challenge 29 is about colouring with pink.  I also used the sketch at Sweet Stop Sketches, they always have fabulous sketches to inspire me.

Stamp Something is having a digi challenge this week as well.

Great Beauty

Here is a page that I just created for the Swirly Girl Challenge - Get your weave on!  I had so much fun with this challenge,  here is what I came up with...

  I weave some paper strips to make my circle behind the photo and added the flocked rub-ons by Prima which were the requierments of this challenge...  Here is a close-up of these elements.

I added pearls to the weaved pattern and the rub-ons to add to my flower cluster.  The tutorial for the lacy Glass flowers can be found here.  Here is a better look at the title work...

I love the laced up look that I see on many projects so I added that element to my page as well as the paint splatter for the extra touch of grunge.  I'm not sure why but I love mixing styles on the page, this one is a mixture of shabby chic and grunge... Do you know what day it is... It's wednesday again!!

Good morning everyone!  I am convinced today will be a good day even though I'm suppose to be getting ready to go to work but since I forgot to pre-schedual my post this will be a short one!  This week once again the DT team has outdone themselves.  Gorgeous projects all around!  If you haven't done so already please check out the Heartfelt Creations Blog.  It looks amazing and you can see a sneek of next week's release.  I'm already having so much fun working with them so make sure you check them out.

OK so for this week I decided to make a boy page.  I don't do many of those but I really wanted to see what I could come up with using my stamps.  I like what I came up with... what do you think??

I love the way the background stamp looks.  The posibilities with these stamps are endless in my opinion, love them, love them, love them!! OK well I'm almost out of time so here as a close up of the the title and the paper rosette.
